Our Lady of Lourdes
Catholic Primary School
Curriculum

The Our Lady of Lourdes Religious Education Curriculum is dedicated to the holistic development of students, focusing on their spiritual, moral, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Grounded in the teachings of Catholicism, the curriculum emphasises the core values of love, compassion, hope, forgiveness, friendship, and equality. Through engaging lessons and reflective practices, students are encouraged to develop a deep understanding of their faith, cultivate a strong moral compass, and build meaningful relationships with others. This approach nurtures a sense of community, guiding students to live out these values in their daily lives and become compassionate, thoughtful members of society.

Sacrament & Liturgy
Our students actively participate in the spiritual life of the school community through regular attendance at Mass. Every Wednesday, year levels alternate attending Mass, deepening their connection to their faith. Additionally, they participate in a whole-school Mass held one Sunday per term, fostering a strong sense of unity and shared worship.
Each morning, classroom prayer begins the day, grounding students in reflection and gratitude.
All baptised Catholic students are invited to receive the sacraments in the following order: Reconciliation in Year 3,
First Eucharist in Year 4
Confirmation in Year 6.
